Currently looking for local South Shore, Tampa Bay and Clearwater Area reclaimed and salvaged wood. Current art work is being made with late 1800’s and early 1900’s historic shore buildings and homes, like The Norwood Inn, est 1888, in Avon, Freedmans Bakery, est 1950, in Belmar and the Asbury Park Boardwalk from 1st Ave are all being used along side of the Sandy Storm salvaged materials. Currently salvaging wood from local Florida remodels and demo sites. All works are one off pieces and are individually numbered. Storm & Sea Salvaged Anchor #518
Another in my Sandy Storm & Sea Salvaged Anchor series using both Sandy Storm salvaged wood from the last nearly 10 years as well as historic locally salvaged wood. Featuring salvaged wood from Sea Girt, Spring Lake and The Highlands. All natural wood salvaged from 1800’s plaster lath wall studs from The Beacon House, est 1878 in Sea Girt. White moldings salvaged from The Beacon House as well. Dark Teal cedar is locker 147 from the South Pavilion demo, on the beach, in Spring Lake. Lighter blue is early 1900’s porch flooring from The Terrace in Sea Girt across from Wreck Pond. And blue is some of the last moldings from The Highlands, 8 beach bungalows opened in 1930, on Johns St, flooded during Sandy and finally rebuilt in February 2017. Approx 13.5”x17.5” Anchor is laser cut, while hand painted and distressed.
